AT Osborne has a broad experience in mobility and infrastructural projects. Assignments are carried out for the national government, regions, provinces, municipalities and industry. The projects constitute a wide variety, among which are included traffic management, road pricing, the use of Intelligent Transportation Systems or Services (ITS) and different ways of using and constructing infrastructure (road/rail). With an interdisciplinary team of mobility experts, project and process managers, communication experts, legal experts and financial experts, AT Osborne provides both strategic and operational support to its customers.
Selection of projects
Sustainable urban transport: Several large urban regions in the Netherlands, including the Amsterdam region, The Hague region and the region of Utrecht, have formulated ambitious plans for sustainable urban transport. In these regions AT Osborne is involved in projects to increase the accessibility and quality of life in the region by changing transportation behaviour.
International research programme NETLIPSE: NETLIPSE is a Network for the dissemination of knowledge on the management and organisation of Large Infrastructure Projects in Europe. The main goal is to have a positive influence on Europe's economy, wealth and sustainability by improving the successful development, delivery and operation of Large Infrastructure Projects (LIPs), e.g. TEN-T projects. NETLIPSE goals are to:
- strengthen mutual confidence in the projects for which the Commission receives applications for support;
- provide more robust processes to achieve successful completion on time, to budget and to end objectives;
- ensure allocation of scarce financial resources to those schemes giving the best long term outputs and likely to succeed.
- equip both Project Sponsors, Funders and Project Delivery Organisations;
- improve the project management organisations responsible for project delivery.
AT Osborne is one of the founding fathers of NETLIPSE and involved in the management of the network (network meetings, special interest groups, website) as well in the research and application of the IPAT, the Infrastructure Project Assesment Tool.
Deployment of ITS: Both national and regional authorities have been supported in their ambition to enhance and accelerate the introduction of new market opportunities (value added services, travel information, traffic data collection, traffic management). AT Osborne’s involvement focuses on the public-public and public-private organisation of these introductions. This involves legal, financial, procurement and policy issues which are addressed by the different specialists from the company.
Public Transport: Principals of public transport services are advised and assisted in the definition, procurement and execution of these services. The core work of AT Osborne is in organising the collaboration between involved parties. This requires the ability to act in the field of public policy and executive departments, as well as acting in the field of principals and (private) public transport companies. It is AT Osborne’s experience that besides good contractual arrangements, fruitful collaboration between all parties involved leads to more sustainable mobility solutions.
