Examples
Amongst its activities, the company was involved in big projects like:

  • the storage of natural gas
  • grids for (cross-border) natural gas
  • a heat distribution system from biogas and waste sources
  • solar cell and windmill projects
  • the development of several local energy infrastructure projects for storage and distribution of heat and electricity.

Research programs
Furthermore AT Osborne is committed to several research programs concerning the transition to a sustainable society, including renewable energy. The company is leader of a research project ‘Governance of interconnected networks; cross-pollination in Dutch project management’ which is part of the research program Next Generation Infrastructures (NGI). Partners include the two largest Dutch gas and electricity infrastructure companies concerned with implementing more flexible infrastructures for renewable sources, storage and balancing facilities. Main questions are how to develop flexible European networks within more static institutional settings? What are success and fail factors of the sectors and companies involved in realising European networks?
